Live Horse Racing at Beaumont Park
Thousands turned out for a day at the tracks when exhibition thoroughbred horse races were hosted at Beaumont Park on Sunday. Live horse racing dates back to 1924 in St. Kitts when races were held at the Sandown Race Course in Ponds Pasture. After nearly half a century the unique sport is set to make a permanent return to the shores of Sugar City at the Beaumont Park Race Track located in the northern part of the island under the mountain of Liamuiga.
