St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A former employee has been charged with the February 17 armed robbery of SL Horsford and Company Ltd Nevis Center.

The robbery accused is Shakel Campbell of Craddock Road, said to have been fired from the business within the past year.

WINN FM understands the young man, a 21-year-old national of Guyana living in Nevis for several years, was charged on Monday (Mar 6). 

WINN FM also understands that a second individual is likely to be charged in the near future in connection to the robbery.

On Friday February 17 just after 4 pm, two armed assailants entered the Business and robbed  cashiers of a sum of money while customers were present.

Head of the Nevis Division, Superintendent Trevor Mills thanked the investigators and members of the public who assisted in the investigation, which resulted in a speedy arrest.
