St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Two more individuals have been arrested by the police in an ongoing investigation into fraud against the government of St Kitts and Nevis.
The police have identified the two as Kelvin Pemberton of Stapleton Village and Daveron Flemming of Challengers.
Pemberton has been formally charged for the offence of obtaining money by false pretense.
According to the police, the offences were committed between 2nd December 2016 and 27th February 2017 in Basseterre.
An amount of 35 thousand dollars is reported to have been obtained from the government of the Federation under false pretenses.
Flemming has meanwhile been charged with obtaining six thousand dollars by false pretense.
He is said to have committed the offenses between February and March this year.
Others already held on similar charges: Lennon Caines, Iva Burnham, Lejon Warner, Lynette Warner and Lescelia Francis.
A police release says the offences have accounted for the loss of $126,700.00 so far.

Two more illegal firearms have been taken off the streets.
The guns: a smith and Wesson pistol and a diamondback pistol - were seized on Saturday night (May 13) by police acting on information received.
The weapons were discovered on a plot of land in the Cedar Grove area.
The latest haul takes to twenty-one (21) the number of illegal firearms seized by the police so far in 2017.
