Three charged with murder of missing man

Charged with the murder of George Livingstone Queeley (left to right): Nicholas Riley 23, Keith Murray 26, Denroy Simmonds 27

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN):  Three Challengers men have been charged with the murder of a man who had been missing for over two years.

Twenty six year old Keith Murray, 27 year old Denroy Simmonds and 23 year old Nicholas Riley have been formally arrested and charged for the murder of George Livingston Queeley of Basseterre, which police say was allegedly committed January 27th 2011.

Thursday, Police PRO Inspector Lyndon David told WINN FM that Queeley had been deemed to be a 'missing person.'  He declined however, to say whether it was his remains that were found in the Challengers Mountain a week ago.

On November 14th the remains were discovered and collected during a joint operation between the Police and Defence Forces.  A press release said that they appeared to have been there for years.

Thursday Inspector David said that that investigation was ongoing, and he could not confirm whether the remains had been identified or comment further on the murder investigation.
