Popular Zion area man found dead

Carlisle Hobson

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN):  Nevis Police are investigating the death of a Zion area man, whose body was discovered Friday morning on the path leading to the government quarry in New River.

Reports are that the body of Carlisle Hobson bore evidence of trauma to the head.  The retired civil servant was clothed in a robe, underwear and flip flops and there was evidence of trauma to his head.

WINN FM understands that there were signs of disturbance at his home, and indications that his vehicle had also been tampered with.

Mr. Hobson, who served as a Registration Officer with Nevis Electoral Office was a well-known and popular gateman at the race track and the Cultural Complex during Culturama.
