LIME Internet Service Repairs Delayed

LIME internet upgrades delayed

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN):  Bad news for LIME internet customers this week: the telecoms company announced Thursday that their long anticipated project to resolve congestion issues has run into snags.

“We know it’s not been easy.  We’re all suffering.  We’re going to do our very best to try and get it resolved as quickly as we can,” Marketing Manager Kevin Edwards apologized during LIME’s Connections programme on WINN FM.

“I know some customers are not going to be happy to hear this, but we had encountered some issues, compatibility issues that is, with some of the equipment that we brought in.  Rather than move ahead with an upgrade that might cause further frustration, we’ve had to delay it until we could get some additional equipment in to resolve that particular issue, but we will continue to keep customers updated.”

Last week LIME had announced that it would begin upgrades early this week to relieve traffic congestion issues that see page timeouts and service drop-outs.

Edwards encouraged customers to still call in and log their issues with the company. He said in some cases technicians might be able to address the issue to some extent.

“In some instances yes, in others, it would not be as simple as that, but like I said, continue to log your fault…we will do our very best to try and address them, we will do our very best to try and get you up and running, or up and running at a speed that is a little bit better than where you might be right now.”

Edwards shared the further bad news Thursday that he could not say when the compatibility issues would be ironed out.

“I really wish I could give you an update on that.  As soon as I am able to get that update we will be disseminating that information.”

The Marketing Manager gave assurances however, that the company would find a way to compensate customers.

“That is very much in the cards, but we want to get the issue fixed first, but know that once the fix is in place, we have a very attractive little something extra to try and help make up for the inconvenience that you’ve been having for the last few months.”
