BITU wants transparency in CAL talks

Jamaica (Jamaica Observer): President of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) Senator Kavan Gayle has called on Minister of Transport, Works and Housing Dr Omar Davies to provide stakeholders and the public with more information and transparency on the developments at Caribbean Airlines (CAL) and the future of Air Jamaica's relationship with the Trinidad-based airline.

Senator Gayle, in a statement, said that it was unfortunate that Jamaican stakeholders, including the BITU, which represents the airline's Jamaican air stewardesses, have had to depend on bits and pieces of information carried by the local media or appearing in the Trinidadian Press, to inform themselves of the developments.
