SKNFA president seeks re-election

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Sunday June 30th is the General Assembly for the St. Kitts Nevis Football Association where a new board will be elected to serve for another four year term. WINN FM sports spoke to sitting president of the SKNFA Anthony Johnson who is seeking another term. Mr. Johnson was elected in 2009 and served for the past four years.
In 2011 Caribbean Football, was rocked by a bribery scandal which was investigated by the Ethics Committee of the world governing body of the sport, FIFA. Johnson was among Caribbean officials named that was interviewed by the Ethics Committee. In the end however he was only reprimanded by FIFA unlike his some of his counterparts were fined and suspended. He does not believe that this will taint his presidency or his chances of being re-elected.
