St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Anthony Johnson was re-elected president of the St. Kitts Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) on Sunday evening at the Association’s General Congress held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort. Johnson was able to fend off challenges from presidential candidates Franklin Maitland and former president Peter Jenkins. Of the 26 eligible votes from member clubs present at the Congress, Johnson garnered 15 votes, two more than what was required to win the presidency. Peter Jenkins had seven votes and Maitland four votes.
Others elected and re-elected Sunday evening are: Alistair Edwards as 1st Vice President winning with 15 votes as opposed to Dennison Paul’s one vote and Leon Natta’s nine votes. Paul sought to withdraw his candidacy just moments before voting, but was told that he could not be removed from the ballot so late in the game. There was one blank vote. Don Grant was elected Second Vice president with 14 votes; Tichelle McClean registered 11 votes and there was one blank vote. The seven elected Executive Members are: Venithia Maynard (17 votes), Raymond Smith (16), Dominic Stevens (14), Corneal Williams (14), Kethly Pemberton (13), John Bergan (13) and Carlton Pinney (12)
