BRAVO HEADS BACK TO THE CARIBBEAN INJURED

Febraury 4, 2010 (Basseterre) - All rounder Dwayne Bravo has joined the West Indies' long injury list after he was ruled out of the upcoming one-day international series against Australia.

West Indies officials say vice-captain Bravo will return home after breaking a finger while playing for Victoria against Tasmania in the recent domestic Twenty20 competition.
He will be replaced by veteran left hander Wavell Hinds.

Bravo remained in Australia and joined his teammates in Canberra ahead of their one-day match against the Prime Minister's XI, their only leadup game ahead of Sunday's ODI opener against Australia at the MCG.

It had been hoped he may recover in time to play some part in the series but officials have sent him home to fully recover.

The Windies are already without Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Fidel Edwards, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Jerome Taylor and the suspended Sulieman Benn for the series of five one-day internationals and two Twenty20s.
