St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Ram’s Supermarket chain has opened its newest branch in Buckley’s, boasting a modern spacious design and wide selection of fresh and packaged foods.
Mr. Amir, General Manager of Ram’s Trading Ltd, said that the construction of the new supermarket began last year but the idea of the store was conceived four years ago by his grandfather and patriarch Mr. Kishu Chandiramani.
Mr. Amir added that the new Buckley’s supermarket is a celebration of the long history of Ram’s Trading in St. Kitts, which was founded in 1935.
According to the General Manager, the location of the store in the Camps area will cater to people in the surrounding community who don’t want to deal with the congestion of Central Basseterre. It will also make shopping at Ram’s more accessible for residents in the rural and suburban areas.
The new Ram’s supermarket has employed seventy-five residents of St. Kitts and Nevis.
WINN FM was on hand for Wednesday’s grand public opening and spoke with the first wave of customers, who expressed strong approval of the new supermarket saying that it was spacious, clean, and had adequate parking space.
Mr. Amir voiced his satisfaction with the positive customer reviews and hopes that the success of the new supermarket will allow Ram’s Trading to continue to help the communities it serves.
